Our Branch is a very active, social and family orientated Scuba Diving Club. The branch was founded in 1969; evolving and operating to provide recreational diver training, organising day trips and diving holidays for members ever since.
We place great emphasis on training and safety and have members of all age groups.
We have numerous Nationally Qualified Open Water Instructors and Assistants – all of whom willingly and freely give up their time to enhance the experience of others. (This includes a number of ladies who are available to help our female members).
Although we are a BSAC club we have members whose initial training was with other agencies and want to continue their training in a club model with a BSAC branch in Essex.

Want to learn to scuba dive? Scuba diving is an adventure open to anyone aged 14 or over and Basildon Sub Aqua Club provides high-quality BSAC training for beginners.
Learn to scuba divePADI, SSI or another agency qualified? Great! Joining our club is a great way to develop your scuba diving and to simply get out there and enjoy some great diving!
Already a diver?
If you are thinking about learning to dive, then the first step is to arrange a Try-Dive.
We regularly hold Try Dives in the pool from 8:00PM on Friday evenings. The cost is £20 for a single Try Dive or £30 for 2 Try Dives. Where the 2 Try Dives could be consecutive weeks for the same person or two family members on the same evening. This includes full kit hire, instruction and around an hour in the pool.
