Diving on Holiday Abroad?

There are many opportunities for diving while on holiday, indeed many divers arrange their holidays around diving.

It is common for people to take diving training as part of their holiday. This is an effective process, but limits the amount of actual recreational diving that may be done on that holiday, as typically a whole week is taken up with the course. For many it is better to gain a diving certification and some basic experience before going on their first diving holiday. This is easily done in the diving club environment, where a new diver can learn at his or her own pace.

Then their first dives in warm clear water will be full of wonder and experience, with little of the anxiety that often accompanies some new divers undertaking an intensive course.

Divers can have 'Live Aboard' holidays, where they spend their entire break at sea on a dive boat with really good accommodation. Travelling to hard to reach sites.  Others prefer to spend their nights ashore in hotels and enjoy the local atmosphere. Going out each day on boats like the ones shown here. The pictures were taken at Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, one of the worlds most popular diving resorts.

Learn to dive and perhaps meet one of these!
